A small sustainable retreat in the Sicilian countryside

Mantàri was born within our family farm, among rows of late-ripening Ciaculli mandarins and avocado trees, on the hills that slope from Mount Etna down to the sea. Here we built nine wooden eco lodges for travellers looking for peace, space and privacy without giving up comfort.

Every lodge has its own private pool with sun deck, a fully equipped kitchen and a porch overlooking the countryside. Our energy comes from the sun and wastewater is treated with a natural phytodepuration system: a way of hosting that respects the land we live on.

Three categories, the same comfort

All lodges are about 40 m², sleep up to 4 guests and share the same furnishings and amenities. What changes is the size of the pool and the view.

The perfect base to explore eastern Sicily

We are in the countryside of Acireale, halfway between the slopes of Mount Etna and the Cyclops Riviera. In a few minutes by car you reach the sea, the baroque centre of Acireale and the best-known destinations of the Ionian coast.

Fantastisch uitzicht bij het eigen zwembad op de zee, aan de achterkant volledig zicht op de Etna. Ontvangst super vriendelijk ook de dames van de huishoudelijke dienst, de tuinman en de man die s'morgens alle zwembaden schoonmaakt zijn allemaal vriendelijk. Eigen parkeerplaats bij de Lodge. Een huurauto is noodzakelijk om Sicilie te verkennen vanuit deze locatie. Wij hebben een fantastische tijd gehad. Dank jullie wel allemaal.

What a wonderful place - the lodge was super clean, modern, stylish, lovely pool (cold in April!) wonderful view of Etna behind - mornings with the sun coming up we’re so lovely. Location is great but local town has very little to offer despite being charming in its own way, and access to the beach was not possible from the lodge - otherwise perfect! Attilio was a wonderful and helpful host, the location is perfect for visiting local places such as Etna, Taormina, Syracuse etc and also some local wineries (big convert to Etna wine) - we stayed in the top end lodge with a little grassy area to the side it was so lovely and peaceful we absolutely loved it.
